Spectroscopy and Kinetics Unit

THE UNIT IN 2015

The Spectroscopy and Kinetics Unit provides ICIQ researchers with technical support in different spectroscopic techniques as well as in kinetic reaction mechanisms studies. The Unit also gives support in monitoring reactions and fitting of the kinetic data.

In 2015, a new FTIR-Raman spectrometer has been acquired (Nicolet iS50 Spectrometer, Thermo). This instrument offers the possibility of Raman mapping, an option that has been used for around 20 samples during 2015.

We would like to highlight in general, the increase in solid samples to be measured and also the increase in samples measured by Raman and by fluorescence techniques, both steady state and life time.
